Vanessa Crocker, a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Environmental Science in 2004. She conducted research on parasitoid wasp adaptation for her Master's thesis at Virginia Commonwealth University, and graduated with a M.S. in Biology in 2008. Ms. Crocker's professional experience includes instructing biology laboratories at Virginia Commonwealth University and Vanderbilt University. She is married and proudly supports her husband, who serves in the United States Army. She enjoys the challenge and excitement of raising two twin children, and pursues reading and spending time in the great outdoors in her free time.
